AIBSS Celebrates 73rd Foundation day

The 73rd Foundation Day ceremony of the All India Banjara Seva Sangh was held at Samarth Pride and Lawn, Nagpur Bypass, near Vanvasi Maroti Temple, Arni Road, Yavatmal, the other day.

At the outset, heartfelt tributes were paid to the great personalities of the organisation, and those who lost lives in the unfortunate plane crash which included Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and others. Thereafter, tributes were paid to Sant Sevalal Maharaj, Lt Vasant Naik and Padmashri Ram Singh Bhanawat, followed by the lighting of the lamp. Ramesh Arya (Senior Advisor, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India and Coordinator, All India Banjara Seva Sangh was present as the chief guest. The programme was presided over by Dr T C Rathod, National President, All India Banjara Seva Sangh. Present on the dais were Rajesh Rathod, MLC, Bapu Rathod, State President of the organisation, Rajpalsingh Rathod, National Youth President, Central Zone, Digambar Rathod, President, Bharatiya Banjara Samaj Karmachari Sanghatana, N T Jadhav Treasurer, Adv Jagdish Pawar General Secretary - Administration, along with Bharat Rathod, Dr Mohan Rathod, Babusingh Naik, former Zilla Parishad Vice President, Washim, Abhay Chavan, former Zilla Parishad Chairman, Buldhana, Adv Ramrao Naik, Social Welfare Chairman, Zilla Parishad Nanded, and Rajudas Jadhav, Director, Yavatmal District Cooperative Bank Ltd. Yavatmal, Shankar Ade, National Spokesperson, All India Banjara Seva Sangh, Govardhan Chavan, Govardhan Rathod, Director, Urban Bank, Abhay Chavan, Pankaj Tukaram Pawar Chandrapur, Prof Dinesh Rathod, Sanjay Bhanavat, Bapuram Sable, Dinesh Rathod Poha, and other dignitaries were present.

On this occasion, Ramesh Arya's book "Banjara Culture" along with Atmaram Rathod's book 'Pani Petatay' was released. Prof Dr Dinesh Rathod was felicitated by the dignitaries present for his work in literary work. Bapu Rathod delivered introductory speech while MLC Rajesh Rathod expressed dissatisfaction with the government's indifference on the issue of reservation, and emphasised the need for an effective and widespread movement. Digambar Rathod, on the other hand, stressed that obtaining reservation for Scheduled Tribes is impossible without an united struggle at the national level. In his presidential address, Dr T C Rathod provided information about the organisation's future guiding policies. Chief guest Ramesh Arya, while giving in-depth guidance on the topic "Banjara: The Importance of Culture and Society," mentioned the historical contribution of the Banjara community. This ceremony was successfully conducted under the leadership of Bapu Rathod. For the success of this event, Adv Jagdish Pawar, N T Jadhav, along with Devidas Rathod Santosh Pawar, Dinesh Rathod, TKChavan, Ravi Chavan, Vasant Jadhav, Deepak, S S Rathod Saheb and Rohit Rathod worked hard. The proceedings of this foundation day ceremony were effectively conducted by Dr Varsha Rohidas Chavan and Dhuphand Rathod.
